Mission Capital Appoints Denise Davis as Board Chair

Congratulations to Denise Davis on her appointment as Board Chair of Mission Capital. Prior to her appointment, Denise served on the Mission Capital board for 3 years. As Board Chair, Denise will lead board governance, strategy, financial oversight, and community leadership.

Denise brings a wealth of experience to her new Board Chair role at Mission Capital. She is a founding member of Davis Kaufman PLLC and served as Chief of Staff to House Speaker Joe R. Straus. Denise also served for several sessions as House Parliamentarian and Special Counsel to the Texas House of Representatives.

Denise has been consistently ranked as one of Texas’ top lobbyists by Mike Hailey’s “Capitol Inside,” most recently in the top 30 of its 2019 Texas Lobby Power Rankings and #1 on the 2013 Rising Lobby Stars list. Since 2013, Davis Kaufman PLLC has been ranked among the top 10 law firm lobby practices.
